OUR ORIGIN
The birth of Unnamra was a moment of sheer serendipity. When an interesting old structure was recovered, in its unusual circular form and high roofs, our founder saw an unexpected opportunity to create something of beauty. Inspired by a background in the classical arts, she decided to convert the space into one where artistic excellence would be celebrated in a myriad ways. So, was born a space where exquisite design, the magic of craftsmanship, and the spirit of imagination synergize to create a timeless ode to artistry and creativity.
OUR JOURNEY
Unnamra's metamorphosis from a dilapidated structure to artistic haven was an incredible journey. The leaking roofs were restored, terrazzo flooring was laid, and windows opened up to invite more light. Unnamra thus opened as a gallery space in 2020 with the desire to celebrate the beauty of craft in its multidimensional splendor. With time, the realization that our wonderful artistic traditions needed a more contemporary voice and a more permanent space resulted in the evolution of a store in 2022.
Today Unnamra has evolved into more than just a store or gallery.True to it’s goal at the inception it has become a platform for the arts to be celebrated in all it’s varied hues - a space to delight in exquisite craftsmanship , lyrical artistry or vibrant performances.
OUR NAME
The name Unnamra means “to ascend”. Artistic expression has always been a means to achieve a higher level of joy and satisfaction.
At Unnamra, we hope to provide an experience of delight through the beauty of creative pursuits. When touched by the exquisiteness of artistry, our spirits soar to greater heights, filling our hearts and lives with joyfulness.
The name therefore encapsulates the vision and spirit of the brand.

As suggested in our name the belief is that such an experience will uplift the senses spreading happiness and harmony.
