STORY

The lovely combination of brick red with a touch of white makes these napkins woven by Assam weavers particularly appealing. The white accents are skillfully added just at the edges giving the napkins a contemporary smartness.

Handloom weaving done with a shuttle is a technique where skilled artisans use a shuttle, a small, boat-shaped device, to manually weave fabric. The loom consists of a frame with a shuttle. The shuttle is a device that carries the weft (horizontal thread) across the warp (vertical threads) of the loom. The shuttle is passed back and forth to weave the fabric.

As each handmade piece is unique it may contain slight variations in color and form.
